Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios revealed a glimpse of the
first creative gaming experience for the PS3, LittleBigPlanet, at the
GDC yesterday. Developed by Media Molecule, LittleBigPlanet is a PS3
community-based game which is aimed at creating a new gaming world.
It’s more than just gaming
Players will meet on a blue and green planet which is scattered with

Sony Worldwide Studios boss Phil Harrison has echoed Kaz Hirai's belief that Sony's PlayStation 3 will enjoy a lifespan of ten years, pointing out that the key to such longevity will lie with the machine's Blu-ray drive.
Chatting to GameDaily, Harrison was adamant that the decision to include the drive would prove to be a wise one. Sony Australia’s Michael Ephraim has hit back at criticism over the high price point for PS3 by stating the console is in a different league than its competitors and, thus, should not be compared to Nintendo’s considerably cheaper Wii console.
“We think PS3 is not a product to be compared with Wii, it is a completely different product. This is a digital hub, that is a games console."

The launch of Sony's PlayStation 3 next month will be accompanied by a host of freebies that Sony hopes will take the sting out of the game console's $1,199.99 price tag.
The James Bond film Casino Royale will be offered free to the first 20,000 buyers who register their PS3 online. Additionally the game Gran Turismo: HD will be available to all PS3 buyers as a free download from the PlayStation Network.
