Death Jr.: Root of Evil Preview
Posted on Apr 20 2008 7:29 AM by adnana

The wacky world of Death Jr. first debuted on the PlayStation Portable and quickly spawned a pair of sequels, including one that bridged the gap to the Nintendo DS. Now, about 18 months after it was originally released, Eidos is bringing the second game in the series to the Wii under the slightly modified title Death Jr.: Root of Evil. We recently had the chance to check out a work-in-progress version and have the latest information on the game and its split-screen cooperative multiplayer mode.

Because the Wii game is essentially a director's cut of the PSP version, additional content notwithstanding, both the story and gameplay remain the same. You still play as the Grim Reaper's son, Death Jr. (or DJ, as his friends call him), and his lady friend and romantic interest, Pandora, as they battle the sinister Furi, the female Night Elf/Incredible Hulk-like daughter of Mother Nature. Furi is desperate to rebel against her good and proper upbringing by turning bad, and with doom and gloom on her mind, she's got to be stopped.

Cloning Clyde

Have you ever been cloned? Ever wonder what it would be like to be a chicken? A monkey? A frog? One recent addition falling into that category is Cloning Clyde. The game isn’t a rich 3-D adventure, it’s not loaded with cool special effects and it doesn’t contain an incredibly deep storyline. Truth be told, it’s much like the 2-D platform games of old (such as Super Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog), which didn’t rely on super programming and cutting-edge hardware, but provided some simple, fun gameplay just the same. Cloning Clyde is a 3-D side-scrolling adventure, featuring (of course!) multiplayer gameplay. Play split screen on a single console, or mutate online with your friends across the world. Can you free yourselves from the myriad sinister traps and mutations that await you? Get Cloning today and find out. Play as a variety of mutant Clydes, each with unique abilities, including Chicken-Clyde, Frog-Clyde, Sheep-Clyde, and more. Play not only as .....
