Bruceongames says: "Firstly lets define what is meant by fanboy. What we are talking about is someone who has an irrational, emotional attachment to an inanimate piece of electronic equipment that makes them act in a manner that borders on the sociopathic and sometimes even crosses that border. Most gaming enthusiasts, even those who spend an inordinate amount of time and money gaming, are not fanboys."

Wii's unstoppable momentum, the PS3's hidden casual gamer install base, and the X360's last hope, the Newton? An article before E3, because after E3 the console war may change directions.

Nidzumi writes: The NASCAR series is a weird one. On one hand its a ten year old series that has always offered up a fairly competent simulation of NASCAR that is sure to satisfy fans around the world. Meanwhile on the other hand it's a circle driving simulator that barley offers any excitement. Whatever your point of view is the NASCAR franchise is here to stay but will this version be able to bridge the gap to the non-NASCAR fan?

You know the score. All your favourite Nintendo characters jammed in to one game blowing each other to pieces until only one remains etc.. A simple formula, but a very effective and successful formula. The Supersmash Bros. series is famed for its pick-up-and-play nature with easy to figure out controls and a learning curve of about 5 minutes for first time players. Because of this, it fast grew in to one of Nintendo's most popular titles and one of the best multiplayer games available on Nintendo's consoles. The game is out in Europe and Australia very soon, so if you're undecided over whether or not to buy it, read this review.

PALGN writes: "Top Spin 3 for the Wii was originally just named Top Spin, but after a small delay the game was renamed Top Spin 3 and has launched alongside the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. Ever since Wii Sports took our time away from us back in December 2006 we've been waiting for a really great tennis game to arrive on the Wii.

Big Beach Sports lets gamers compete in a number of outdoor sports including American football, volleyball, soccer, cricket, disc golf and bocce right on the beach. "Personally I've enjoyed playing three out of the six games (volleyball, football and disc golf), but realistically I'd probably only ever go back and play volleyball and that would only be if I had friends around.

Wii Fit accomplishes exactly what Nintendo representatives said it would prior to its release: it makes its users more cognizant about what’s going on with their bodies and, along those lines, it made me think a little bit more about my overall health… for about four days.

How is Nintendo's download service shaping up? So, it's been a little over a month now since the launch of Nintendo's WiiWare service. While it's still very much in its infancy, it seems like a good time to evaluate how the new online store for new games is shaping up.

Microsoft's Chris Satchell, general manager of the company's game developer group, has told SPOnG that Nintendo's WiiWare strategy is confusing and failing to "empower the gaming community". Speaking to SPOnG at the GameHorizon conference in Newcastle yesterday, Satchell said: "I've been a little confused by WiiWare...

Word to the wise: It looks like if you update your Wii, the Twilight Princess save data will be deleted if it corrupted by the well-known exploit. A new update to the Wii system will "check for and automatically remove such save files" that are unauthorized save files. So, it looks like those who wish to update their Wii system will no longer be able to take advantage of the notorious Twilight Princess hack in the future.

The Nintendo Wii is a true oddity when it comes to video game consoles. It's the only system in history that managed to reach true mass appeal with gamers ranging in age from eight to eighty. The big draw? Innovative motion controls and a refined user friendly interface making games more accessible to the masses.

PALGN writes: "Emergency Mayhem is a game that has had quite a turbulent development history. The game was originally announced for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox at E3, 2004 and was to be published and developed by Acclaim. Unfortunately, Acclaim filed for bankruptcy in Sepember 2006 and the chances of Emergency Mayhem being released seemed slim. However, in May 2007 Warner Bros. purchased the rights to publisher the game, with Codemasters developing the game.
