Capcom announced today via its official blog that Rocketmen: Axis of Evil will be released next week via the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Store. The arcade-style overhead action/shooter will be available Wednesday, March 5th on the Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft points ($10), while the PlayStation Network version will hit the Store on Thursday, March 6th for $10.
We haven't seen a lot of Rocketmen since its initial announcement last April, but our early hands-on preview has some details on the gameplay, while the E3 2007 video embedded above has a look at the various weapons available in the game.

Nintendo’s Advance Wars is a fantastic series. The franchise took the normally intimidating war/strategy genre and boiled it down to a very playable, very rookie-friendly game that managed to offer all the depth of a good war game without all of the confusion. Now that style of game comes to Xbox Live Arcade with Commanders, which apes the popular Nintendo franchise with great success.
The idea behind Commanders is to move your various units through large maps, fulfilling mission-specific objectives while carefully managing your troops, buying new units, and capturing various buildings and bases. The challenge comes from the "fog of war," which covers the relatively big maps based on your units’ line of sight.

We honestly believe that when it comes to SNK, they believe that nostalgia is job one. Why else would the company continue to keep one foot rooted in the past by re-releasing countless compilations of old releases in lieu of anything truly new?...

We're not sure where "Build Your Own MAME Cabinet" falls on your todo list but it's pretty damn high on ours. Sure, we've pushed it down and put it off over the years (why did we learn underwater yak-shearing?) but after watching this 5-part video series on that very topic put together by the crew at Systm our desire has been rekindled...

If you told us twenty years ago that, by 2007, there would be a pocket-sized device that could make wireless phone calls, take pictures, play music and show movies, we'd probably get a little dewy eyed at the techno-futuristic possibilities. If you told us that device would also be able to replicate the games of hundreds of upright arcade cabinets, we might very well have exploded with anticipation.....

"Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire™ (Super NES, 1-8 players, 800 Wii Points): Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV is a tactical simulation game in which the player takes the role of a ruler seeking to unite China in the era of the three kingdoms of Wei, Wu and Shu. The role of the ruler is to command a range of officers with differing characteristics - some cunning strategists, others brave warriors - and strengthen the military might of his or her kingdom. Foreign policy, involving forming alliances with certain kingdoms and hatching plans to weaken others, will play a major role in this process. Once players have developed a powerful enough military, it will be time to expand their borders through military conquest. Ultimate victory will only be achieved once all 43 cities in China lie within a player's control."

Resistance is an exciting action game that successfully combines many of the best qualities from other great first-person shooters with its own spectacular visuals and a few novel twists. Rock-solid design borrows the best aspects from the best first-person shooters; outstanding presentation, featuring great weapons and believable environments; replayable campaign pits you against an aggressive, fairly intelligent foe; fully featured multiplayer mode offers good variety and supports up to 40 players. Resistance is a technically impressive, well-designed, intense action game that unmistakably draws inspiration from some of the finest recent examples of similar games. Resistance doesn't attempt anything wildly different than other first-person shooters out there, but by offering a strong selection of interesting weapons, plenty of ruthless foes to shoot them at, good level design, and an excellent presentation, it accomplishes what most such games fail to do…more click on heading
