Xbox 360 fans of last year’s tactical military shooter “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter” are celebrating the news that UbiSoft has shipped the sequel and it’s in stores now.

While the 360ers enjoy the game, the PC and PlayStation 3 crowds will have to wait until June when their versions ship to retail, but they’ll also get the added satisfaction of having some exclusive maps made solely for their consoles. Ubisoft will be calling for beta testers for one of the PC exclusive player maps shortly, and you can find out more by hitting the official game site.

Namco Bandai Games has announced that it's set to bring the next instalment in the Tycoon simulation series, Space Station Tycoon, to Nintendo's Wii midway through 2007, in collaboration with developer Wahoo Studios.

Like those before it, the game's about building and maintaining things to earn cash. The catch this time though, is that obviously, players will be running space stations, alongside a cast of over 30 zany characters, a humourous and evolving story, co-op mode, and more...more click on heading

Posted on Feb 23 2007 12:43 AM by Xtrmius
Filed Under: Combat Sims ,

If Metal Gear Solid 4 was officially declared a multi-platform title, that would make PS3 owners feel royally punked. Still, EA’s announcement for Mercenaries 2 only bodes well for Xbox 360 gamers, and that has got to make Sony pissed.

It’s no surprise that Mercs 2 is now going to debut on multiple platforms outside of Sony’s two systems. But it should have been even less surprising considering that the original was also on the Gamecube and Xbox. Still, Xbox 360 gamers no longer have to feel envious of PS3 owners, now that they can get their hands on the sequel to the game that offered players the ultimate playground of destruction...more click on heading

Posted on Jan 05 2007 1:20 AM by Xtrmius

"Star Trek: Legacy" boldly goes where no video game has gone before by including the actual voices of all five Star Fleet captains over the years — James T. Kirk to Jonathan Archer.

Too bad all that talent wasn't put to better use. Awkward controls and uninspired gameplay make this new E10+ rated, $59.99 title for the Xbox 360 and the PC a rather dull romp in the holodeck.

While "Legacy" will appeal to the worldwide army of Trekkers, the rest of us might be better off avoiding this game...more click on heading
