"Two years ago, during one of my many Gears of War gaming sessions with friends, I told one of the guys "Man, wouldn't it be cool if they made a Gears of War movie?" It was fairly obvious that the game had every element needed to be a great popcorn movie: Bad-ass heroes, monsters, and tons of explosions. Low and behold, I find out last week that there will be a Gears of War movie coming out in 2009. But the question is, will it hold true to the source material? Or will it just be another video game movie gone bad?"
