Nintendo Wii leading the Console Championship

It will take a while for it to pass the XBox 360's sales, and the PS3 will do well in the long run, making for something much closer to a three-way split than the PlayStation slamdunk of the last generation. But Wii has and will continue to "DS" this market, and the only thing that will stop it is if Nintendo fails to release must-have titles in the coming years.
Why? Because the Wii is sold by what you do with it, not what it is. As long as this remains the case, Nintendo will continue to spew these out and still be unable to keep store shelves stocked.
