Nintendo has announced that they will be teaming up with Fox Interactive Media’s GameSpy so that Wii gamers will be able to play online against other gamers. At the time of this writing, there currently is no titles shipped that support the online multiplayer gaming experience. Nintendo said they will be releasing games that will support the Internet play function throughout the year.
The way that the Wii online game play will work is that you can choose the skill level that you are at and match with other players with that skill level, or you can choose from a friends list. You can also play with others by meeting up at the game leader boards for a little competitive game play.
If you don’t have the Ninetendo Wii and have the Nintendo’s DS handheld game, never fear, you to will be able to go online and play against others at GameSpy.
The first multiplayer Wii game set to be released on June 25th is "Pokemon Battle Revolution."
