While the Game Developer's Conference has yet to begin, that hasn't stopped the big-name companies from making some new announcements. This time, it's Sony giving us a glimpse at some brand new material for Resistance: Fall of Man coming in two parts later this spring.
First up are two new multiplayer game modes. The update adds Team Conversion, which is a take on Conversion mode that allows for two teams of humans to square off, each with single lives. The other mode is Assault, which is based around destroying your enemy's defenses before going after their base.
Also included in this update is an enhanced matchmaking process, the return of the old radar as an optional feature, and a spectator camera option. All of this will drop worldwide March 23, just in time for the European PS3 launch.
The second downloadable content package will come this May and features two brand new maps, both set in England. One is set in the snowy north, while the other contains an underground cave complex to fight in. Also in the May update is the ability to play Resistance against players from anywhere in the world (Europe, Japan, America, etc.). The leaderboards can then be filtered by region.
