Capcom have shot down rumors of a possible Wii incarnation of PS2 adventure game Okami.

Rumors had previously circulated on the Internet hinting that the company were following the possibility of producing a Wii version. However, a Capcom representative this week issued the following statement:

"Officially we have no plans for Okami on Wii at this time. Research and development are always looking at possibilities but given Clover is now closed for business, I think it highly unlikely a Wii version would be possible.”

A rather unambiguous statement indeed, and one that has effectively put the rumor to rest.
