Release Date: Nov 6, 2006
This title are more than a simple port of the SNES classic ? every aspect of the games has been reviewed and enhanced. Additionally, a host of brand-new elements has been seamlessly merged with the original game, providing unexpected surprises for longtime fans. With new dungeons, new job classes, and other exciting features, both old-school players and newcomers can enjoy this genre-defining FINAL FANTASY title in a portable format.
So, gamers got Final Fantasy IV on the GBA last year, and being a port of the WonderSwan version of the game, it was a bit of a mess. With the recently released Final Fantasy V, Square-Enix had to start from the ground up with the port, and the results are much, much better.
FFV stars Bartz, Lenna, Galuf, Faris and Krile as they battle against X-Death, a powerful villain who resides in an alternate dimension. At the beginning of the game, Bartz and his Chocobo, Boko, go to investigate a meteor landing and soon meet up with Reina and Galuf. Shortly thereafter, Faris joins the party and the real story begins. The game's story, which revolves around the plight of the four Crystals in the world, isn't as renowned as, say, Final Fantasy VI, but it was easily one of the best written stories of its time.
